Geographical Databases & Mapping Boundaries

SPA Marketing Systems, over many years, has developed lots of geographical databases for use in our own analysis and project work and for incorporation into our software products. As a result, we have increasingly received database requests from users who already have Geographical Information Systems (GIS). SPA is now able to supply varied databases for incorporation into your own GIS.

As members of Association of Census Distribution (formerly Association of Census Agencies) and Royal Mail VARs, SPA can supply a range of key data about areas in usable formats. Our business arrangements with suppliers of more specialist data - AA roads, Retail Locations Multiples and Wegner Direct Marketing (formerly Market Location ) business data - enable us to offer databases that can help in answering very specific locational problems.

Data is offered at a variety of geographic levels from postal geographies right through to full postcode databases and grid referenced points data sets. Files can be supplied in a range of formats so you can incorporate them into your own GIS or database system.

Due to the different levels of geography available and the option, in some cases, to purchase only the variables you need, we haven't included prices. 	Area Datasets There are several key sources of data available from SPA for a range of geographical areas:
	Postal Geography Look-Up Tables A common requirement is for a look-up table of postal geography to higher level areas.
	Gazetteers SPA gazetteers are designed to be incorporated into you own mapping systems, or used as look-up tables.
	Points Databases SPA have built up many databases at point level for use in our own projects - find the nearest, closest competitor etc. We are now making many of these geocoded databases available for general sale.
	Mapping Boundaries & Road Datasets Various boundary files and road data sets for your GIS mapping system.
